Beginning October 2019, terms are two years (Treasurer) and three years (President-Elect, President, Past President). The Alaska Environmental Health Association is accepting nominations for three awards. Nominations may be made by email to email@example.com by September 15, 2019. Nominations should include the award type, a brief summary of the applicant’s position and responsibilities, and award-worth accomplishments. Self-nominations are welcome.
- The Alaska Environmental Health Practitioner of the Year Award is AEHA’s highest form of recognition. It recognizes an AEHA member who has performed professional duties in the field of environmental health above and beyond normal job expectations, and in doing so, has enhanced awareness of the environmental health profession in Alaska. The recipient must be a member of AEHA.
- As an affiliate of NEHA, our organization may designate one member each year to receive a NEHA Certificate of Merit, thereby providing national recognition for outstanding contributions to the profession of environmental health. Recipients are announced during the NEHA Annual Education Conference awards program and in the Journal of Environmental Health. The recipient must be a NEHA Member.
- The AEHA Certificate of Merit Award recognizes one individual who has recently made a significant contribution to environmental health at the local or regional level. The recipient must be a member of AEHA.
