Russell Cameron is a lifelong Alaskan of Tlingit descent. He grew up in Sitka and attended Mt. Edgecumbe High School. After graduation, Russ began serving his community as a firefighter and first responder. He completed his undergraduate degree at Sheldon Jackson College, and graduated with a Masters in Public Health from the University of Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine.
